Tokyo Tradition vs Modernity: Meiji Shrine to Harajuku’s Takeshita Street

every Japanese Shrine are the saki
barrels at the entrance now I was
curious and had to discover what this
was about they play a prominent role
serving as symbolic offerings to the

deities Mai Jingo Shrine is dedicated to
Emperor Mai and his empress shoken
to our surprise and Delight we stumbled
Upon A Shinto wedding procession the
priest leads the way followed by the
shrine maidens the bride and groom are
sheltered by a red lacquered parasol and
Then followed by their close family
family and friends this was a true treat
