⁴ᴷ Niigata: Murakami Station (新潟県: 村上駅) – Japan Walking Tour (July, 2024)
In July (June at the time of shooting), we will be heading to Niigata. To get to Niigata Prefecture, we will go through Fukushima and Yamagata Prefectures. We have moved from Yamagata Prefecture to Niigata Prefecture.
Murakami City is located on the border of Yamagata and Niigata Prefectures. The city is known for its old townscape and quiet atmosphere. It was quiet because it was nighttime when I visited. As I walked through the streets, I could hear the sounds of festival music. The Murakami Grand Festival is coming up soon, so people are practicing here and there in the town.
