Japan Railway Enthusiast’s Paradise: Keikyu Railway Museum Adventure Diorama & Simulator

This time, we visited the ‘Keikyu Museum’ located near Tokyo in Yokohama. Amazingly, you can enjoy it for free! You can operate dioramas, experience simulator driving, and even create your own original Plarail. Please note that it requires a reservation in advance. The last slot allows for walk-ins if there are vacancies, but reservations are recommended.

Access:
220-0011 1-2-8 Takashima, Nishi-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture Keikyu Group Head Office 1st floor
25 minutes by JR from Tokyo Station to Yokohama Station, then a 10-minute walk
Immediately near Shin-Takashima Station on the Minato Mirai Line
Opened in 2020, this new museum offers free admission. The friendly and cheerful staff create a welcoming atmosphere. There are stroller parking and well-equipped restrooms, making it ideal for families with small children.

Opening hours:
1st time: 10:00~11:30
2nd time: 12:30~14:00
3rd time: 15:00~16:30

Closed:
Every Tuesday (the next day if Tuesday is a holiday)
Year-end and New Year holidays and temporary closing days

On the way back, I looked at the 110 class steam locomotive at JR Sakuragicho Station and the “Old Yoko Gallery,” a railway-related exhibit.
