00:01the Hachinohe Sansha Taisai (Hachinohe Three Shrine Festival), is a major annual festival held in Hachinohe, Aomori Prefecture, Japan. This vibrant festival, which has been celebrated for over 290 years, typically takes place from July 31st to August 4th.

Highlights of Hachinohe Omatsuri:
Float Parades: The festival is famous for its grand parades featuring elaborately decorated floats (dashi). These floats are often adorned with large, colorful, and intricately designed figures depicting historical and mythical scenes.

Costumed Participants: The parades include participants dressed in traditional costumes, adding to the festive atmosphere with their performances and dances.

Music and Performances: Traditional music played on taiko drums and flutes accompanies the parades, creating an energetic and lively ambiance. There are also various performances, including lion dances and kagura (sacred Shinto music and dance).

Shrine Processions: The festival is named after the three main shrines in Hachinohe—Ogami Shrine, Shinra Shrine, and Shinmei Shrine. Sacred mikoshi (portable shrines) are carried through the streets in a grand procession, symbolizing the gods visiting the town.

Night Illuminations: At night, the floats are illuminated, creating a magical and captivating sight as they move through the streets.

Community Participation: The festival involves the whole community, with many local residents and visitors participating in the events and activities.
