⁴ᴷ Gunma: Kusatsu Onsen (群馬県: 草津温泉) – Japan Walking Tour (August, 2024)
I spent the weekend visiting Kusatsu Onsen in Gunma Prefecture. Although it’s relatively far from the Tokyo metropolitan area, it’s famous as one of Japan’s “Three Great Hot Springs,” so many people have probably been here before. The Yubatake, illuminated with colorful lights, draws a large crowd at night. I think this lively atmosphere is a distinctive feature of Kusatsu Onsen. It’s nice to have a central spot like this that brings people together.
