Hello everyone, welcome to Tongli Ancient Town. Located in Wujiang District, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, near Taihu Lake, Tongli is about 18 kilometers from downtown Suzhou and approximately 80 kilometers from Shanghai. It is a historic water town in Southern Yangtze with a rich cultural heritage. Tongli Ancient Town was founded in the Song Dynasty and has a history of over 1,000 years. The town has preserved a large number of buildings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, built along the water with white walls and black tiles, reflecting beautifully on the surface of the canals, creating a series of picturesque scenes. One of the town’s most iconic attractions is the Tuisi Garden, a superb example of Classical gardens in Southern Yangtze.
