The Fukuro Festival, held over two days as a “Mikoshi Festival,” began in 1968 and will be celebrating its 57th anniversary this year. The highlight of the event is the “Evening Mikoshi Grand Parade” featuring 15 mikoshi, which is the climax of the festival. The sight of around 4,000 people carrying the mikoshi is a spectacular sight.
In addition to the flute and drum parade, there will also be performances such as Hawaiian hula, Tahitian dance, Japanese drumming, and lion dancing. It is an opportunity to enjoy festival culture from Japan and abroad.
