As I had only been to the scenic areas in Miyazaki, my impression was it was a rural part of Kyushu. I remembered I saw cars on roads (I don’t know what brand, as they were not the big Japanese car brands like Toyota etc) which were very compact and cute type, and I never saw them in Fukuoka.
The Miyazaki station in the video, however, was very large and modern, proving me wrong! I find the Miyazaki station bear some similarities to Hakata station. The big open space in front of the station, the long u shaped sheltered taxi stand/car pickup point, Amu Plaza, and slight wavy design.
There was no high rise buildings in the surroundings at all, revealing the beautiful blue sky. Being able to see the vast, endless sky is truly healing.
The area that was most mesmerising was certainly at the roof top of Amu Plaza! It was so picturesque with the shrine, torii gate, and the wonderful cityscape in the background!
From the rooftop, one could see the glow of the sunset through the clouds,which was beautiful and touching, yet it also reflected the impermanence of life. Once night falls, everything returns to its starting point, waiting for dawn to arrive when sunlight will once again shine upon the earth.
Thank you for your great effort to bring us another great video in an unfamiliar city! This video was like a missing puzzle piece from my trip to Miyazaki ( as my trip last year bypassed all the train stations in Kyushu).
