There is a magnificent view overlooking the city of Kamakura, and a tengu statue greets you with an eerie feeling. Although it is far away, the mystical experience is worth it. Kenchoji Temple was founded by Tokiyori Hojo in 1253 and is one of the oldest Zen temples in Japan.
