Surviving my 2nd Winter of Extreme Van Life, Blizzard, Snow Storm Camping & Freezing Cold #vanlife

How & What I learned from my 2nd Winter of Extreme Van Life, Blizzard, Snowy Storm Camping & Extreme Cold & Snowfall in the Arctic North #vanlife #wintervanlife
This is 4 hours of my complete second winter of Winter Van Life in extreme conditions in the North, living in a van during freezing temperatures. Starting in January I go through the whole winter season of snowy winter adventures from January to April, with snow storms, blizzards, extreme cold, extreme snowfall, slippery roads and some amazing winter beauty as well.
I also show you what I learned from my first winter in the van as well as talking about 4×4 vs FWD, winter tires vs all season tires and my van heating system vs diesel heater. I learn a lot about my battery system from experiencing the coldest temperatures I ever experienced in my van in this Full Travel Documentary Movie.

  1. Forget about vanity, there is no place for it here… When a Viking on his iron longship takes to the snow-covered roads and plows the expanses of the Arctic…. My friend, I envy you when in the morning you have a new beautiful Scenery… I understand life in such conditions is not easy, but nature and emotions are worth it… Be yourself, my virtual friend…

  2. Hi Jarl, I can relate to your love of the snow and blizzard conditions in you're travels. Im a retired OTR trucker and ive seen and experienced many blizzards while on the road. I love that you can travel all over Norway and the Arctic North, I wish that I could join you with my own promaster van. Anyway, I enjoy your channel, I watch all of your videos. Keep on keeping on 🤩💪/1 BIGGUN 😁

  4. Thank you for explaining about the tyres, did you take a little wider nokian tyres, i drive also a ducato, but they seem smaller then yours. And what a difference the road to Rondane, i drove it last summer, very nice.Have a good winter and drive safe, regards Ted

  5. Really enjoyed this long video. My wife and I recently returned home after a four month RV trip (we pull a 18' tear drop travel trailer) to Alaska. We experienced extreme weather; from 115 heat to 20 cold. Fortunately, our TT was well equipped. Curious if you video your daily chore keeping activities like shopping, fuel, etc.? I for one would find that interesting as it isn't always about sitting in your rig, watching the weather or driving the roads. Also, curious why you don't have some basic recovery gear like a shovel and sand channels. Understand your rig is front wheel drive only, but you may have been able to self recover if you had some sand channels for that right front wheel and been able to remove some of the snow from your track. Given the angle, I think reversing would have been the best option. Safe travels.

  6. I grew up in minus 50 Saskatchewan Canada. Only closed the schools if a windchill on top of the minus 50!!I walked over 2 miles a day in that plus ice skating later. ❄️⛄️

  7. A safety helmet is an idea for outside in those storms as falling onto ice is not “ cool”!!

  8. 참 다행입니다 다치지 않도록
    조심하며 운전 해주세요 오늘
    도 좋은 영상 잘보았습니다
    감사합니다 👋👋👍👍👍

  9. I’m sitting out on my patio beside my swimming pool and it’s 89 degrees today in San Antonio Texas. Watching your video and it is keeping me chilled. Lol. I worry about you sometimes but you are a true road warrior. ❤. My nickname is Frosty so your videos are my thing. Be safe.

  10. Until 2.15 min. – Absolutely gorgeous colours soft orange, pink, red… when sun is setting ! It requires a lot of courage waking up at night by minus 25 to test the engine ! You were lucky, it started ! And also lucky getting the help of (a kind of) Ice Road Rescue. Your case was quite innocent, I've seen on tv very serious accidents with big trucks. Having been "the good Samaritan" you had "to pay" for your charity and courtesy…. And the best way to warm up the body is… a large mug of hot and strong…. COFFEE !

  11. Hei Jarl, fint å sitte å se denne videoen du har laget av tidligere vintertur, spesielt når du kjører over Saltfjellet, helt fantastisk natur, helt utrolig flott i nord.😊

  12. I love being there with you on your journeys through Europe. I wish I had done it when I was younger and in better health. It find your stories😁😁😁😁

  13. Wow… 100K Awesome!!! Those blizzards are the best and it was great seeing you fixing things in your van. And I agree, nothing beats hot coffee in a van during a blizzard. There is nothing more cozy than that!!!
Great content, editing and music…. that drone can really get high in the sky!!!

  14. Very enjoyable. I'm no expert but I understand in the US most truckers and Van people use the diesel heater.

In any event here's a little money towards the marina .
