People in China enjoy their night outing after work / weekends with their love one, walking , dancing in a group , eating , shopping and meeting with friends etc , while in the west their citizens tend to stays indoor after the sunset because of the unsafe to walk in the streets ( lack of street lighting ) / traveling in public transport ! but then if the Chinese government removed all the " Security facial recognition Camera " as portrayed by the western media report , possibility of increase in crimes , maybe , because in China criminals are punishable !
I am a Canadian who lives in Toronto. When I visited my grandparents in Nanning i bumped into 2 separate groups of Canadians within 5 minutes….

Nanning certainly isn't as well known as cities like Shanghai. It is in southern China, which is more laid back than bigger cities. The first time I heard about Nanning was in 2014, it hosted the world gymnastics championships in 2014. I'm a huge gymnastics fan.

This is supposed to be a forth world city in China, it’s considered a very poor city but damn, looks way better than most capital cities in the world.

在美国的南宁人刷地一下就点进来了！可惜不能在南宁带你们去玩，南宁其实除了螺蛳粉还有很多特色食物，比如老友粉，粉饺，卷筒粉，还可以在南宁喝早茶。螺蛳粉是柳州的，来自广西的另一个城市，喜欢的人很喜欢，不喜欢的人很讨厌，尝试了几次之后我个人就喜欢上了螺蛳粉。另外我还建议去南宁的人民公园、双孖井、以及广西大学附近的美食街转转。I am from Nanning, and I am in the US. I clicked in instantly! Alas, I can't take you around Nanning by now. Beyond the famous Luosifen, there's a variety of local delicacies like Laoyoufen (Old Friend rice noodles), fen jiao (rice dumplings), and rolled rice noodles. Enjoying a dim sum (morning tea restaurant) in Nanning is also a treat. The snail rice noodle Luosifen is a dish from Liuzhou, another city in Guangxi, it's a love-it-or-hate-it dish. I personally became a fan after trying it several times🤣. I also recommend exploring Nanning's Renmin Park, Shuangma Well, and the nearby food street adjacent to Guangxi University.

it's a pleasant surprised you guys like the shellfish rice noodles, it's like the "provincial noodle" in guangxi, a lot of people don't like it because the pickled bamboo shoot stinks when it's cooked. well a man's trash is another's treasure 😂 just like durians, you either love it or hate it 😂
