“I have always loved the Wanaka Tree and admired the incredible images that capture its beauty throughout the year. Living half a world away, I hoped I would find a tree to photograph in the same way. Last weekend I noticed this tree in a group of trees as I was driving by Parksville Lake in Tennessee. I have driven past it for years and never paid attention. Suddenly I realized that it was the same kind of shot. The weather was overcast and rainy, but the cloud texture added a great mood to the photo. It isn’t the Wanaka tree, but is beautiful in its own right. It truly is all about seeing and not just looking.” #MyCanonStory
