Surviving on the RUSSIAN Trans-Siberian Railway

We’re traveling across Russia on the Trans-Siberian Railway (the longest railway system in the world!), and we thought it’d be awesome to take you along on a typical Russian train. On this leg from Ulan-Ude to Novosibirsk, we want to show you what it’s like to spend 40 hours on the train and how locals commute between major cities. Oh, and we booked two upper bunks—what could possibly go wrong?!

    На самом деле,если это не ночь или очень раннее утро, вот эти тётушки на нижних полках должны были при вашем появлении собрать свое лежбище и уступить вам ваше законное сидячее место внизу,а не создавать ощущение,что вы сидите на чужой кровати.

    Да, неудачная конструкция верхних полок. Кстати, вы имели полное право пользоваться нижними розетками для подзарядки.

    Normal people use train compartments for such long way. Most of Russian Southern trains hadn't such open space seats at all. There are different levels of comfort in trains. This one is econom version, I am not rich, but I already many years don't use it.

    I've been in the upper bed on a night train from Moscow to Saint Petersburg, 'platzkart', this video unlocked such a beautiful (other than traumatic) memory 😂 I'll definitely choose the lower one next time I'm ever taking a night train

    Это Еденичка ? Почему вы не рассказываете что во всем эшелоне только 2 или 3 вагона плацкарты остальные купе и давайте не будем забывать что нижние полки стоят дороже чем верхние если не устраивает берите СВ,за доллары это смешные деньги,но почему то С.В. ЕЗДЯТ ПУСТЫЕ!!а плацкарта забита битком.Да и в плацкарте очень весело и не скучно, это как в больнице попадаешь в одиночную полату и от тоски повесишься,а когда в полате 6 человек это совсем другое дело.

    Ох сказочники, не все клещи переносят болезни (бояться надо клещей в средней полосе где разводят коров и других животных) В лесах обычно клещи безвредны. Да и большинство жителей с детства привиты от различных болезней.
    *Бояться надо больших сибирских комаров, один рой таких насекомых может выпить всю кровь у человека за 3 часа 🙂

    В Индии некоторые поезда с 3 полками.. но когда люди не спят одну не раскладывают. А так там еще меньше места чем в России на верхней

    The great thing about the russians they don’t try to push their propaganda onto foreigners like China. They ll promote their produce they’ll help you but they do not push a narrative “ Look what China has done look how advanced China is” I can see the CCP propaganda. Most russians are opposing the war in ukraine and don’t buy the putin narrative.
