⁴ᴷ Saitama: Iwatsuki Station (埼玉県: 岩槻駅) – Japan Walking Tour (September, 2024)
On the final day of the three-day weekend, which was the substitute holiday for the Autumnal Equinox, I visited Iwatsuki Station in Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture. It’s already been 19 years since Iwatsuki was incorporated into Saitama City in 2005, changing from Iwatsuki City to Iwatsuki Ward. However, you can still see signs in the shopping district that refer to it as Iwatsuki City.
The town has a certain historical charm and sense of calm, likely due to its past as both a castle town and a post station.
