Cycling Japan’s Tohoku Region, Camping in Akita Prefecture, & Osorezan 🇯🇵🚲 Road Trip Part 2!

After starting our road trip by hiking Mt. Haku (or Hakusan) in Ishikawa Prefecture, we started driving north to the Tohoku region! In this video we go camping in Akita Prefecture, bike around the Oga Peninsula, and make our way to Aomori Prefecture.

We got to see Hirosaki Castle (弘前城, one of the 12 remaining original castles in the country!) and stayed in Mutsu City. During a bike ride there we visited Osorezan (literally Fear Mountain) and Bodaiji Temple, surrounded by sulfuric hot springs and said to be a gateway to the underworld. This is the first part of our Tohoku Region visit, and the next stop on our 3 week road trip around Japan!
